Traditionally recycling is processed by workers stood beside of a belt sorting waste by hand. This is expensive and inaccurate plus labour is increasingly hard to find as the work is so unpleasant. When Green Recycling decided to address these challenges an off-the-shelf solution wasn’t available so they have developed their own over several years.
The result is a process which is highly automated and requires minimal human involvement. A combination of AI, ballistic separation, magnets, optical sensors and high pressure air jets can sort all types of waste with an accuracy in excess of 95%.
